sepenggal bersama dengan rekan lain di kampus.
terakhir aku ikut nyanyi ini, waktu masih gabung
di paduan suara unpar waktu kuliah, termasuk
acara wisuda di saat 13 taon yang lalu.
well .. lumayan merinding sih ehehee
kira-kira terjemahan bebasnya begini:

'de brevitate vitae' adalah lagu berlirik latin,
awalnya digunakan sebagai lagu perayaan ato hymn
untuk pesta keberhasilan ato 'minum bir' ditradisi
jerman, belanda maupun inggris (termasuk aussie).

selanjutnya berlanjut popular digunakan dalam
lingkungan akademik perguruan tinggi di sistem eropah
semenjak taon 1200-an, terutama untuk public ceremonies.
lantas pada abad ke 17, seorang tokoh pendidikan yang
juga penggubah lagu (kindeleben-1781), mempopularkan
sebagai tradisi 'lagu wisuda' yang kerap dinyanyikan
sebagai lagu wajib dalam perayaan keberhasilan itu,
terutama setelah diterjemahkan dalam versi inggris.
namun demi nilai sakral, tradisi nyanyian ini tetap
dinyanyikan dalam bahasa aslinya, yakni latin.
